I haven't posted a link to a typing game in forever. So, guess what here's a link to a typing game. It's pretty easy all you have to do is type the alphabet into some boxes. When you finish it tells you how fast you typed it. OK, it's silly but I'm running out of typing games. Do you know any good ones?
How fast can you type the alphabet?

Firefox Keyboard Shortcuts
Recently, I have been looking for ways to make my Internet browsing more effective. One of the ways to increase your productivity is to use keyboard shortcuts. If you've seen my tutorial on how to Open Links Faster, you know how useful they can be. Well as I was looking for things to talk about on Talk Tech with CTI I stumbled across this article about Firefox keyboard shortcuts. We even talked about a couple of the ones I saw on this page on the radio show. So far the one that has impressed me the most was Ctrl+Shift+T. If you accidentally close a tab it will reopen it for you. Pretty cool really, give some of these shortcuts a shot.

Fingerjig Typing Game
I have to admit I really enjoy typing games. Can't pass them up. So any time I see "Typing" and "Game" in the title of a web page Can't. Stop. It. Must. Play. Typing. Game. Check this one out Jonathan Miles: Fingerjig Typing Game.

Four score and seven years ago...
Recently I stumbled across a site on Digg that let you see how fast you can type. What I found novel about the site was that it used snippets of the Gettysburg Address. This alone was enough to recommend the site. The Gettysburg Address is one of those things I learned in grade school that I can't quite get out of my head. Check it out here: See How Fast You Can Type
Just for those that are curious here's a screen capture of my score.

QWERTY Warriors
Learning to type isn't always fun. This little game I found can make it at least a little more interesting. It's kind of a shooting game. You are in the middle of the screen and these spaceships and robots come at you. At the bottom of each enemy it has a word. Type the word correctly and hit enter and it kills that enemy. Give it a shot. Sure can't hurt, might even help your typing skills.
